this shot was taken at the protest against the republican national convention in new york a few years ago. the atmosphere was great - even the police were talking nicely to people! (mostly). i saw a glimpse of this anarchy tattoo under this cops shirt and i asked if i could take a quick photo. he agreed on the condition that i didn't show his face or badge. i guess he had an interesting path to becoming a police officer.
